Blueair Blue Pure 411 vs Levoit LV-H132: Why Is Blueair Favorable?

Blueair Blue Pure 411 vs Levoit LV-H132

If you’re looking for an air purifier that fits your budget and can improve indoor air quality, you should come across these two Blueair Blue Pure 411 vs Levoit LV-H132 air purifiers. They’re the two beasts that work best for small-sized rooms such as apartments or dormitories.

The two machines have the same number of filter layers, fan speed, and compact size, but I would still recommend you purchase the Blueair’s. It has higher CADR and ACH data with better control at the sound level.

Differences Between Blueair Blue Pure 411 vs Levoit LV-H132

Levoit is surely an amazing brand at designing air purifiers for the mid-range market. But the Blueair Blue Pure 411 seems to be more advantageous.

Design

Both Blueair and Levoit share the same cylinder shape with a circular air intake grill on top.

Since the two machines are built for a small room, they are very compact that you can place them on the table or your kitchen countertop. However, the Blue Pure 411 is 4 inches taller than its competitor, which should be placed on the floor instead of somewhere high.

This can be a disadvantage for Blueair since its height is the same as an air purifier for a medium size. Luckily, its weight somehow compensates for this big drawback. The Levoit LV-H132 tips the scale of 6 pounds, while the Blueair is only half of that weight.

And while Levoit’s has two color options, Blueair offers users multiple color choices from yellow to pink that allow customers to freely match their room’s style.

I would prefer a Levoit LV-H132 air purifier with a compact design and dimension. It looks tiny and perfectly suits my table.

Coverage

The Blueair can clean up to 160 square feet of rooms while its counterpart is best suited for 129 square feet.

But if you are hesitating in choosing one of the two, I would recommend the Blueair Blue Pure 411 over the Levoit LV-H132. It has a higher CADR than its competitor – 120cfm for pollen, 120cfm for dust, and 105cfm for smoke.

Do you know that this rate is equal to the well-known Levoit LV-Pur131’s CADR?!  It means you can breathe in the fresh air in about 30 minutes after turning on the machine.

At the same time, Levoit offers only 40cfm in general, which is quite low to clean air in a 129 square feet room.

Filter

Blueair and Levoit possess 3-stage filtration, including a pre – filter, an active carbon filter, and a middle filter that differs from each other. While the Levoit uses the notable True HEPA filter, Blueair provides a polypropylene fibers filter (HEPASilent Technology).

In short, the HEPASilent filter of Blueair can capture 95% of all allergens and be very efficient in cleaning highly polluted rooms. In contrast, the Levoit with the True HEPA filter is often called the best-certified air purifier that can clean up to 99.97% of airborne particles.

However, if your room suffers from severe pollution from the nearby construction (or something else), Levoit LV-H132 will fail to bring your air quality back to normal in a short amount of time.

Each product has its advantages and disadvantages, but the decision is yours.

Noise Levels

Do you remember the HEPASilent Technology in Blueair filter above? This is the most critical factor that allows the Blueair Blue Pure 411 to ever be the quietest air purifier.

The lowest setting generates only 17 decibels due to the reduction of fan running and the increase of the airflow. And when the product is at the maximum speed, it will give off approximately 46 decibels.

Meanwhile, the Levoit with its Quiet Operation titles gives a range of 22-50 decibels. The Blueair 411 surely wins this round.

How To Use

Even though they are two competitors, both have a unique way of operating the machine. While the Levoit presents all its buttons on the top touch panel, the Blueair combines all features in just a big, single button in the middle.

Levoit has 4 buttons, which respectively are: power button, night light button, filter replacement indicator, and fan speed button with 3 levels. The night light allows users to enjoy their peaceful sleeping time, and the change filter indicator will warn when it’s time to change the filter.

On the other hand, the Blueair Blue Pure 411 combines all these features in one single button of the control panel. This button has three separated LED light parts as the representative of three fan speeds. When you push it once, the air purifier is turned on with a low mode. Push two times will be the medium speed, and the third time is the high setting. To turn the machine off, you will have to push the fourth time.

The machine will alert users when to change its filters when three LED lights turn red.

The Bottom Line

Blueair Blue Pure 411 vs Levoit LV-H132 are only suitable for a one-room apartment or a dormitory. Furthermore, they are affordable and easy to buy in the market; thus, they provide users with a chance to experience the ideal indoor atmosphere.

But you might want to consider the Blueair Blue Pure 411 if you prefer a faster and quieter machine. It’s also more compatible with a medium-sized room, which is at least 160 square feet.

On the other hand, Levoit LV-H132 will be your go-to choice if you prefer a compact unit with a more economical option.
