Coway AP-1512HH Vs Levoit Core 300 are two popular mid-range air purifiers on the market. Many people have a hard time choosing between them, which is the reason why I wrote this comparison post.
In this article, you will find out the similarities as well as differences between these two purifiers. Read until the end to know which one is the more capable.
Differences Between Coway AP-1512HH Vs Levoit Core 300
Design and Convenience
Let me start off with a non-technical aspect: design.
These two purifiers have absolutely nothing in common regarding the design. While the Levoit resembles a cute cylinder speaker, its competitor looks like a square-shaped digital clock. What I love is that both products look equally sleek and modern.
The Coway AP-1512HH is considered a small unit, measuring only 16.8 x 18.3 x 9.6 inches and weighing 12.3 lbs. But it might surprise you that the Levoit Core 300 is even smaller. It has a dimension of 8.7 x 8.7 x 14.2 inches with a weight of 7.5 lbs only. The thing is truly portable – you can take it almost anywhere.
The next thing I want to touch is the filtration system – one of the most important aspects when it comes to air purifiers.
Basically, the Coway AP-1512HH Vs Levoit Core 300 share the same 3-stage filtration system, including a pre-filter, carbon activated filter, and HEPA filter. This is a common method that many popular purifiers use to clean the air.
Nonetheless, Coway offers an optional extra layer – the ionizer. It works against viruses and bacteria, which the 3-in-1 filtration system above cannot. Note that this ionization feature may produce a small amount of ozone. In the end, you are the one to decide whether to equip it or not.
The Coway AP-1512HH is designed to cover up to 361 square feet, compared to 215 square feet that the Levit purifiers. The CARD rating is 233 and 141, and the ACH (air changes per hour) is 4 and 5 respectively. You can see that while the Coway is more suitable for medium and large rooms, its competitor may work effectively in small to medium-sized rooms only.
But the thing is, although Coway AP-1512HH covers a larger area, it works about 20% slower compared to the Levoit Core 300. Keep this in mind before you make any decision.
Features and Accessories
Both air purifiers provide necessary features to give you more convenience, namely LED lights, filter indicator, timer (2h, 4h, 6h, 8h), etc.
The Levit Core manages to include some extra features that its competitor does not. These are the auto lock feature and the sleep mode, which come in handy to prevent your settings from being changed accidentally as well as save energy.
But the Coway really turns the tables by offering two different automatic modes, namely eco mode and auto mode. You can consider these two an upgraded version of auto-lock and sleep mode. Anyway, the smart modes are really convenient to use.
One more thing that makes Coway the winner is the air quality monitor, which tells you the real-time air quality within your house. Unfortunately, the Levoit Core 300 does not provide such a function.
In terms of the noise level, there is no difference at all. Both products are quite silent at low settings, and the max noise level is around 45 dB only.

The Bottom Line
Here is the part where I announce the winner between Coway AP-1512HH Vs Levoit Core 300. This is a tough decision since both of them are great air purifiers.
Anyway, my favorite purifier is the Coway AP-1512HH. It offers a large coverage area along with smart automation features. In contrast, the Levoit Core is more suitable for small and medium-sized rooms of up to 215 square feet.
