Jura D6 Vs ENA 8: Same Brand, Different Lines

Jura D6 Vs ENA 8

Quick Answer: Jura D6 Vs ENA 8?

Which Is The Best Overall?

Each coffee maker has its own strengths and weaknesses, so it’s hard to pick out the best from the Jura ENA 8 vs D6 competition.

The former features a zero-energy system that disconnects the machine from the power source to prevent it from utilizing electricity while in standby mode. It also employs Bluetooth functionality, meaning you can make your favorite drinks from anywhere in your home without having to go to the kitchen, making it ideal for busy households.

On the other hand, those drinking coffee a lot in a day would appreciate the large water tank and bean hoppers of the D6. This item is extremely easy to operate. All you have to do is add beans, some water and press a button; the rest is on the machine. Suppose you don’t have much experience with making coffee; this is your meant-to-be product.

After considering all the factors, the ENA 8 is my winner.

Differences Between Jura D6 Vs ENA 8

Design And Convenience

The main distinction between these two coffee markers is their water reservoirs. D6 has its water tank placed at the left of the machine, while that of its competitor sits at the right. Both designs allow for easier access than placing the tanks at the rear end of the unit.

However, the new water tank of the ENA 8 is incredibly eye-catching. Its cylindrical shape and crystal-like patterns are a delight to the eyes. This beautiful design also appears as the signature trait of this machine in my Jura ENA 8 vs E6 article.

These two machines come with almost the same dimensions, and they can fit under any cupboard with heights under 14 inches. At 24.72 pounds, D6 is over 4 pounds more than its counterpart.

Another key factor that sets the two machines apart is the display control panel. ENA 8 features an intuitive T.F.T. color display, which is a pleasure to navigate between settings. In contrast, the plain text-based display of the D6 is less user-friendly or even tricky for some users.

So for this round, it’s a tie.

Wattages And Capacity

While both the espresso markers run at 1450 wattages, with such power consumption, the thermoblock heats up fast, and the machines get ready to brew within seconds.

Jura D6’s water reservoir can hold up to 64 ounces, nearly twice its counterpart’s tank capacity, at 37 ounces.

The bean container of the D-line maker is also more spacious than the other line, at 7.1 and 4.4 ounces, respectively. It means you will need to refill the water and beans less often with the D6.

The latter espresso machine is more flexible when it comes to brewing. It can make up to 10 varieties of coffee specialties at a touch of a button, which can satiate even the choosiest palates.

The Jura D6 has an edge when it comes to brewing capacity. On the other hand, if you want to enjoy a variety of drinks and don’t mind the hassle of frequent refillings, the ENA 8 is a winning choice.

Additional Features

The ENA machine features an advanced frothing system. The system, when combined with fine foam technology, produces creamy milk foam for cappuccino and other milk-based drinks.

D6 also comes with a frothing system. The thing is, the milk output is moved to the left of the coffee spout. Thus, filling milk into a narrow cup without moving it is impossible, which is a minor convenience.

In addition, the ENA model has a by-pass doser that allows you to use pre-ground coffee and skip the grinding stage. It is not the case with the D6 machine – a minus point for decaf lovers.

As you can already tell, the point goes to the ENA 8 again.
