Jura E6 Review: What Are The Key Features?

Design and Material

Personally, I don’t favor the Jura E6 for its design and construction. However, I have to admit that the screen control panel and a single switch on the top right corner allow users to operate the machine much easier than other models in the market.

Jura E6 is not designed for appearance. But we should never judge a book by its cover. Despite the simple and straightforward platinum color and black uni outlook, its materials are quite durable and sturdy with stainless steel and plastic.

While the drip tray is made with stainless steel to prevent water damage and rusting, plastic is the main material to be constructed in the main body part of the Jura E6 automatic coffee machine.

The most attractive part of this model is an intuitive TFT color display with buttons, and graphic icons for drink presets. Unlike Jura D6, the E6 model does not come with Smart Connect, in which you can control the machine’s operation through a mobile app. But with the help of a screen display, you won’t have to ask such questions as “how to use Jura E6?” since making an espresso is as simple as pressing the espresso button, choose the strength and duration.

If you still wish to have the machine commanded remotely, the Jura Smart Connect can be bought separately. Pay some extra fees and update your “automatic” machine to a better version.

As for the dimensions and weights of the product, Jura E6 is quite compact relative to its advanced Jura brothers with only 11” in with, 13.8” in height, and 17.3” in depth. It also tips the scale of 21.1 pounds, heavier than other models due to its large bean and water containers.

Great news to those still reluctant to buy, this model used to have all-black and platinum colors only, but Jura has just announced a new arrival of the all-white E6. The Jura E6 white will give off a more luxurious aura to every house’s kitchen corners.

Jura E6 Review

Brewing capacity

The brewing capacity of Jura E6 is no joke. As for one time, it can brew two cups simultaneously through its adjustable double shots. The 64-ounce in water tank allows users to make at least 60 shots, which is also 15 cups of coffee.

The maximum holding coffee ground (or coffee waste) is kept to be 16 portions – the standard capacity for almost all Jura coffee makers. Even though the technical data of Jura E6 are similar to several other Jura models, I recommend buyers to purchase it for frequent use.

It would best suit for office use or restaurant for the sake of a large bean container and saving-time technology. The construction of the water tank and coffee bean hopper is particularly easy to get a hold of. So users don’t have to suffer from all the awkward reaching and grabbing for restricted areas of the machines.

The Drinks

Jura E6 vs D6 are quite similar at some points, especially with the technologies used to brew three programmable drinks. Jura E6 has 7 specialty coffees where 3 of them are the presets for coffee, cappuccino, and espresso.

Pulse Extraction Process – the brand signature feature is applied to almost all the notable coffee makers of Jura. It guarantees to extract and utilize the coffee aroma at the maximum level so that the taste will be enhanced and elevated. This feature works best with drink types like espresso and ristretto.

Relating to cappuccino, the machine comes with a built-in milk frother and 14-ounce stainless steel milk container that enable users to make drinks without moving the mug from one place to another. The Easy Cappuccino system even adds more foaming and fluffy texture for milk coffee like lattes and cappuccino.

Do not worry about the coffee quality since each type of drink is formulated and observed carefully to produce a nice, rich, and deep flavor.

Cleaning

When I said this machine is suitable for office use and in restaurants, I do have proves for my point of view. The integrated rinsing and cleaning programs can be done at a touch of a button to keep the device impeccably hygienic. Besides having the automatic rinser activated once it’s turned on, Jura E6’s milk spout is also dishwasher-safe.

All of these points will save a bundle of time for users who usually have a high demand for coffee or who have no time to fully taken care of. The recommended time that users should clean a machine is every 2 weeks. As for the milk froth, which is tedious to clean since it’s often prone to clogging and build-up, it would be best if you can wash it with soap every week.

Additional Features

Since Jura coffee machines are often equipped with lots of advanced features, I decided to talk and discuss only two of the most impressive points. With our Jura E6 platinum review, Aroma G3 Grinder, and the setting’s number of this grinder.

There is this saying in the Jura’s company: Aroma G3 Grinder is where your perfect coffee begins. It’s true that every process while brewing a coffee cup is equally important. However, I believe the part of grinding deserves a little more attention.

The level of powder and texture of coffee grounding depends much on the engine and the available grinding levels. Compatible with 7 settings, users can adjust to the exact fineness of the coffee powder they want. Remember, the finer the powder, the more intensive and real flavor you’ll get.

Thanks to the grinding cones’ cutting angles in Aroma G3, Jura buyers can manage and achieve the perfect aroma and natural fullness without breaking a sweat.

And guess what, apart from having an efficient grinder, Aroma G3 even generates less noise level than 60% of coffee makers in the market.
