In case you’re looking for a premium-quality coffee maker, I highly suggest the two models from the Jura Z-range of Jura Z6 vs Z9. They are one of the best machines that are categorized for commercial uses. Therefore, those seeking one for your cafe or restaurant, do not hesitate to choose one of them.
In my opinion, the Z9 is more outstanding for its duo thermoblock heating system, large capacity, and an excellent number of specialties. Since it can heat the water faster and has a wide range of drinks, it’s the perfect choice for restaurants with lots of customer demand.

Differences Between Jura Z6 vs Z9
Design & Convenience
The appearance of both Jura Z6 vs Jura Z9 espresso machines is similar and straightforward, which can be seen in most of the market’s coffee makers. The only factor that distinguishes them from other competitors of other brands is the construction material.
They are built with high-quality and durable plastic that can be easily maintained and cleaned. At first sight, you can spot that the Z9 looks bulkier with four spouts on the front while the Z6 has only three. The Z9 model has one separated cappuccino froth, a water heat spout, and double coffee spouts.
In fact, the Jura Z9 is a heavy machine, which is 4.4 pounds more than its counterpart. Both devices’ dimensions are the same at 12.2 × 14.76 × 17.7 inches in depth, height, and width, respectively. Now, this is the time when you start to wonder why the Z6 is so much more convenient to sit in your kitchen counterpart than the other one.
And yes, I have to agree with that. The Jura Z6 is lighter, compact in size, and offers a hassle-free operation. It looks sleeker with horizontal control buttons than the vertical ones of Jura Z9. Even the TFT screen display is much brighter, and the icons are more well presented.
Wattages and Capacity
With 1450 watts of energy, Jura Z6 has more potential to produce batches of coffee faster than its competitor. In about 10 minutes, the Jura Z9 offers up to 8 cups of coffee while the other machine produces approximately 5-6 cups. This is due to other advanced systems constructed in the Z9 model.
Even though the Z9 machine has only 1250 watts, it proposes a bigger water tank capacity. 96 ounces of water in an espresso machine is not the biggest capacity that the Jura brand owns, but it’s large enough to free users from constantly refilling the container.
You might prefer the Z6 for its external water reservoir, but for me, the internal water tank is more advantageous. You can eliminate the maintenance and cleaning process for the tank cover since it does not interact with any external objects (like scratché or dirty marks from cups, knives, etc.)
Furthermore, it’s more vulnerable on the side and inconvenient when moving from place to place. I believe I will go for the choice of Jura Z9.
Additional Features
As usual, the two additional features I would like to introduce are the number of thermoblock heating and the varieties of drink choices in the two machines.
The Jura Z9 surely wins this round for surpassing its counterpart with a dual heating system and 17 specialties. The machine steam and boils water far quicker. So if you prefer your coffee to be scalding hot at a fast speed, perhaps consider this model.
However, there is one minus for the Z9 gadget. Since it’s the old version, it’s not compatible with the Jura App for remote or distance control. I understand that many people love to enjoy their cups of coffee done remotely, but unfortunately, the product does not feature this model.

Conclusion
Compared to the characteristics, features, and construction of these two Jura Z6 vs Z9, I would choose the Z9 as the winner. It proposes faster and more presets in making a cup of coffee. However, since it’s the old machine in the market for a long time, we can only purchase a refurbished model.
