Roborock E4 vs E35 are the two models that can do double duty of vacuuming and mopping simultaneously. No more a stumbling block of price tag, these two robots allow everyone with a tight budget to clean home efficiently and smartly.
My recommendation for all of you is to go for the Roborock E4. As for the reasons, we’ll have a look at the comparison table below first!

Roborock E4 vs E35: Why Is Roborock E4 Better Than E35?
Design
Both Roborock vacuums have maintained the minimalistic and functional outlook of a vacuum cleaner. Xiaowa Roborock E3 is designed with a standard round shape. The body is made of high-quality dark grey plastic, on which minor damages and scratches are practically invisible.
There are three control buttons, a sensor, and a removable cover for the dust collector compartment on the touch panel’s front side. To prevent the damage from possible collisions with obstacles, the machine is equipped with a small protective bumper.
On the bottom of the vacuum cleaner, there is a running gear, represented by two pulling wheels and one swivel wheel. The suction inlet is equipped with its own brush, which increases the cleaning efficiency. This 7-pound robot tips a height of 3.8 inches and a diameter of 13.7 inches – the average size for all Roborock vacuums.
As for the Roborock E4, it is made of matte plastic like its predecessor. The upper panel is divided into two parts by a glossy strip with the company logo’s image. On one side of it, there are control buttons, a charging station search sensor. While on the other side, there is a top cover, under which a waste container is hidden.
Unlike other devices that have the turret mounted on top, Roborock E4 has none. Due to this, it does not add up much in height. With the same dimension as its counterpart, the machine with 7.7 pounds can freely slide under any home’s furniture.
Adding a massive boost for the cleaning performance, the Roborock E4 has modern five-beam silicone brushes. This brush is much more efficient (rakes up 60% more debris in one turn) and more reliable than its competitor. In addition, the Roborock E4’s brush will start to rotate faster when encountering particularly dirty areas .
Their outer appearances are the same; however, I will choose the Roborock E4 for the innovative construction of the side brush.
Suction Power
Both options are rated at 2000 Pa, sufficient for low and high-pile carpets. When one of these machines makes a pass, any specks of dirt, debris, particles, or even big cereal will be wiped away in less than a second.
Besides, they both have the remarkable airflow that creates a high-pressure zone to maintain throughout the house’s cleaning persistently.
However, a robust engine does not always come with positive results. A powerful motor will eventually create loud noise, and sometimes, it might damage your carpets’ shape. If users want to reduce the power, they can simply adjust it in the app.
In this round, both devices gain a point.
Cleaning Performance
One of the disadvantages for this robot vacuum cleaner is that it does not come with a remote control. This means that the control is carried out exclusively using a mobile application or buttons on the case.
The Xiaomi Xiaowa Roborock E35 Robot Vacuum Cleaner cleans any floor surfaces with the main and side brush. It can remove fine dust, solid debris and cope with fur and pet hair. Besides, its suction power is increased when cleaning carpets.
The solid waste container’s capacity is 640 ml, so it doesn’t need to be cleaned after cleaning. It also offers a built-in water tank with a total of 150 ml, fixed to the bottom surface, along with a fiber cloth.
Another thing I don’t recommend the E35 is the lack of virtual boundaries. There is no virtual wall or magnetic tape included with Xiaomi Roborock E352. The application also cannot limit the cleaning area. You will either have to pay extra by purchasing a virtual wall or physically limit the cleaning zone.
On the other hand, the E4 model with 640 ml dustbin capacity can allow setting no-go zones by putting a magnetic strip. The robots assess their surroundings and plan a route with a preference for zigzag drives.
Inside the container, the airflow passes through a mesh and paper (HEPA) filter, so 99.5% of the collected dust remains inside the dust container. For wet cleaning, a mop with a 180 ml separate tank is used. Even though it does not clean as efficiently as the S5 Max model, Roborock E4 cleans the house quickly and efficiently.
Even though both vacuums are compatible with 2100 square feet of room, I still recommend the E4 gadget over the E35.
Battery Life
All of the Roborock machines use the Lithium-Ion battery material; however, their capacities might be different. In our case, both vacuums offer the same 5200 mAh, which is sufficient enough to clean a big house at one charge.
The runtimes of Roborock E35 vs E4 are 150 minutes and 200 minutes, respectively. When the LEd light on the control panel turns red, that’s when you know it’s time to charge the machine. The robots will auto go back to their charging dock and take 240 minutes to load themselves.
We can spot that the runtime of E35 is shorter than its counterpart. Therefore, the winner for this round is the E4 model.
Noise
The noise level of both machines are the same at 60 decibels. I can understand their similarities since they have the same suction power.
However, for such robust engines to produce that level of noise is quite remarkable. Fact: other machines with only 1400 Pa suction strength produce about 58-65 decibels. Therefore, the powerful engines that create quiet sounds like these two devices are such treasures.
Regardless, based on all of my comparison points above, I’ve found the winner for this battle!
