Levoit Core 300 vs LV-H133: The Better Purifier for Coverage

Levoit Core 300 vs LV-H133

Levoit Core 300 vs LV-H133 is a battle of the two top-of-the-line air purifiers on the market right now. Their multi-level filters and powerful fans promise clean air and sound sleeps.

Each of them will be a great addition to your room and your health. However, the more advanced and more efficient air purifier LV-H133 is my choice.

Before diving into their comparison battle, take a quick look at the general specifications of the two.

Differences between Levoit Core 300 vs LV-H133

Levoit LV-H133 has a sleek-looking design with excellent room coverage, high performing rates, and advanced features. But what about its other aspects compared to the other one?

Design

Both products can blend fairly well in any room that they are in. However, I appreciate the sleek, cutting-edge design of the Levoit LV-H133 air purifier more.

A fine, supple curve around the waist makes its cylindrical design more slim and elegant. The contrast between the white air intake grill and the top surface is another stylish touch.

Meanwhile, Levoit Core 300 also has a cylindrical design but with rounded edges. This air purifier has a more compact, table-top design. It is only one-third the weight of the other purifier.

But the LV-H133 air purifier is meant to cover a two times larger room, so the difference in size is expected. So I am going to give this round to LV-H133 since it has a more attractive design.

Filter

Levoit equips both its machines with three levels of air filters. The 3-stage filtration system includes a pre-filter, a True HEPA filter, and a high-efficiency Activated Carbon Filter.

The True HEPA filter captures 99.97% of fine airborne particles 0.3 microns in size. They include air pollutants such as pollen, dust, and smoke particles. The HEPA air purifier can remove cooking odors, pet odors, and other household odors as well.

Levoit Core 300 is more flexible with its filter core options. It offers a specialized core for pet allergy, toxin absorber, and mold and bacteria.

Even though these accessories are not included in the original price, I am still going to give Levoit Core 300 a point.

Coverage

In the battle of LV-H133 vs Levoit Core 300, this is the decisive round. Levoit LV-H133 comes off as the superior air purifier with double the room coverage.

Levoit Core 300 has wider room coverage than the previous model of LV-H133 – the Levoit LV-H132. But LV-H133 has quadrupled its predecessor in terms of coverage.

This model can cover up to 442 square feet. Its air delivery rate of 274 cubic feet per minute also almost doubles Levoit Core 300’s CFM rates of about 140 cubic feet per minute.

In their ideal room size, both air purifiers can deliver 5X ACH. That means they can exchange air every 12 minutes. But because of LV-H133’s larger coverage, it clearly has a more efficient air filtration process.

Noise Levels

At their lowest setting, the two products run very quietly, only about 25 dB. When they are running at full speed, Levoit Core 300 has a slight advantage of 4 dB.

Moderate rainfall is 50 dB while a household refrigerator is 55 dB. So the difference in noise level between the two models is tolerable.

I believe it is fair to call this round of Levoit Core 300 vs LV-H133 battle a tie.

Usability

Those touch-based control products are easy to operate. The LED display and control panel are on the top of the machines. Levoit Core 300 has all the basic features, but LV-H133 has more assistive add-ons.

Both items have an auto-off timer. The automatic shut-off timer has a wide range to choose from. What makes LV-H133 the more advanced device is two automatic extra features.

The first one is the auto fan speed adjusting mode. It works according to the result of the airborne pollutants of a laser dust sensor.

The other one is the auto indoor air quality updates. The indicator lights on the air quality monitor have four colors Blue, Green, Yellow, and Red to indicate the current air quality from good to poor.

So, the LV-H133 model still takes the lead over its counterpart.
