Discovering the right match for your coffee maker collection is hard work since there are many automatic gadgets in the marketplace nowadays. However, when it comes to Jura S8 vs Saeco Xelsis, I can assure you that they can sit perfectly in every house owner.
Especially when it comes to the Jura S8 – the machine with an incredible number of presets, a large water reservoir, and a compact footprint. But I would like to choose the Saeco Xelsis coffee machine for the stunning design and dual thermoblock heating system.

Differences Between Jura S8 vs Saeco Xelsis
Design & Convenience
The winner of my heart for this round is Saeco Xelsis. The second gadget brings me the same modern and outstanding appearance as the Jura Z8 does.
This Italian design and craftsmanship express a broad touch screen for users to control easily. The main control panel in the middle represents the beverage icons, water temperature adjustment, grind settings, etc. Simply choose your preference of drink choice and touch the icon; your cups will be ready in minutes.
Everything about Saeco Xelsis looks very luxurious and elegant. Even the small details and silver lines wrapping around the machine add a notable and sleek vibe.
The only thing I dislike about this model is the fingerprint marks on the control panel after every use. However, it’s the drawback of both Saeco Xelsis vs Jura S8 since they are all compatible with touchscreen.
As for the weight, the Jura S8 has more advantages. It’s 4.8 pounds fewer than its competitor and more compact at 11 × 13.8 × 17.5 inches. I will not review the design of the Z8 here since it has a standard design for any double-serve coffee machine.

Wattages and Capacity
When I compare Jura coffee machines to each other, there is nothing special about their engine since they all have the same 1450 watts. In this case, we have a new Philips brand that offers 500 watts more to the robust engine.
You can understand that the Saeco Xelsis can grind coffee faster and operate faster since it has higher wattages. However, keep in mind that the duration of brewing cups of coffee depends on many other factors, namely the thermoblock heating system (which will be discussed later).
Both gadgets can make up to 8 coffees in 10-12 minutes, but the Saeco Xelsis will run out of water and coffee beans faster than the Jura S8. This is due to the fact that it has a smaller water reservoir. Even though the 4 ounces difference is just minor, I still prefer to have a larger one.
Talking about the preset and programmable specialties, it’s a tie for both coffee makers. They can brew from the simplest coffee to the complicated milk-based beverages, up to 15 different types. What’s more? Both are compatible with adding personal recipes to the machine, allowing users to be professional home barista!
My choice in this round falls to the Jura S8 machine for its large water reservoir, 15 presets, and additional customizable recipes.
Additional Features
Let’s discuss the thermoblock heating system that I’ve just mentioned above. If you’re looking for a quick, fast and reliable coffee machine, then go ahead and choose the Saeco Xelsis immediately! A dual thermoblock heating system allows users to brew and steam coffee simultaneously, saving a bundle of time and energy consumption.
Another feature relates to the milk frother. Unlike Jura S8, which has a built-in milk frother, Saeco Xelsis comes with a transparent glass flask. For those who have limited space in their kitchen corner, it’s better to purchase the Jura S8, which has everything in the set – including the milk frother.
However, having the flask will help the cleaning process to be much easier. So, decide whether you prefer space or cleaning and maintenance more.

Conclusion
Between Jura S8 vs Saeco Xelsis, my first pick is the Saeco Xelsis. It’s more efficient to brew a cup of cappuccino with the presets and faster when it comes to dual thermoblock heating systems.
As for the Jura S8, you might choose the model if your coffee demand is more to the non-milk beverage. Since it’s equipped with a P.E.P technology, I believe the espresso and ristretto aromas made from Jura will be better.
